I have a sportsline HRM which said I burned 278cals in 20min, and the elliptical said 116
I aslo did 30 min on the treadmill and my hrm said 237cals, machine said 116. I dont know which
numbers to log in.

If you set up your hrm with your information-weight, age, resting heart rate-then use the hrm. I use a website that I think gives you a better estimate of calories burned: http://www.triathlontrainingblog.com/calculators/calories-burned-calculator-based-on-average-heart-rate/. If you use the website, put in about 30 for your VO2Max, unless you are in really good shape in which case you can put about 40 or 45.0

Good question! I've noticed the same thing when I use our elliptical too. Let me know when you get the answer to that one.:happy:0

Machines are rarely accurate, your HRM is the best tool for your individual calorie burn information.0
