Losing the battle with my mind

Anyone else have the problem of your mind giving in well before your body does? I was all convinced yesterday morning that this week would be a failure as it is a stressful work week, but the week hadn't even begun! I decided to fight against it and glad I did, I feel so positive today after eating well yesterday and doing some exercise this morning and having good food planned out for today.
But my mind does this all the time, it caves to sweets and 'allows' me to eat the whole thing even though my tastebuds say it's not worth it or my body says it doesn't actually want any more food. When I've eaten junk it tells me to eat more junk which leads to the downward spiral of me feeling yuk and me eating even more junk. It caves during exercise and 'lets' me go easy because I just can't be bothered or too tired to push all the way to the end.
The battle for me definitely begins and ends in my mind, so if anyone knows how to win this battle with my mind, tips are appreciated

I know exactly what you're going though. I'm an "emotional eater". In my mind I know that this is the absolute worse thing to do, but it makes me feel so much better. Even last week, I knew that I should have went to the gym and ate right, but everything I saw and smelled just attracted me so much. It's a hard thing to control. I've learned that meditation and prayer works though.0

My mind tries to do that too but luckily most of the time I have that other little voice saying to ignore it and do the right thing. I guess it's because I'm more fun being lazy and eating whever the heck I want but I just can't allow it to happen too often!0

That's right it starts in the mind... That is exactly where you nip it in the bud immediately as the negative thought occurs replace it with a good thought .... This is going to be a great day/week ... I am making better food choices ....
•You know you can do it
•Don't give in to something you'll regret later
•Psychologically change the way you think of food
•Find a Healthy Alternative - Replace it with a healthy choice
•It takes you 10 steps back from reaching you goal and an amazing body
•It's taking away from you it's not benefiting you in anyway
•Eat to fuel your body not to fuel your emotions
•Do what you say & stick it out
•Sip on Tea throughout the day - Suppresses your appetite and Eliminates your cravings
•Increase your Water Intake
........
Good Luck!0 -
I say that nothing is off limits. I allow myself three bites of anything that I want but I stop at the three bites. Honestly, the first bite is always the best. I don't need to finish whatever the treat is, just have a taste.
I take that back, Dr. Pepper is off limits to me because I know that is something that once I have one I just want more and more so I stay away from it.0 -
I hear you totally. It's a 100% mind battle. Ironically...
I wish I had some tips, but I need some myself.0 -
Also I enter my treat in my food diary before I eat it and when i see those calories sometimes that is enough to make me see that it's not worth it to me.0
