Hi,

Just started with the food diary today. Wish me luck!! I don't have much to loose but I will definately need everyone's support to make my goal and stay at my goal once I achieve it.

  • I just started my food diary today too!!! And boy was I shocked...I only have 295 more calories left for the rest of the day and tonight is my son's 17th birthday party. What do you bet I go over??? LOL.

    Well, you might go over today but tomorrow is another day.

    Mine calculated 1200 calories per day which seems quite low. What was yours?

    Welcome. and good luck. Be careful starting that low, it can lead to a lot of frustration early on as you adjust your routine.

    I agree, take it one day at a time. Don't rush into it or give yourself a hard time if you slip. Its like quiting smoking, very hard and as long has you don't give up you'll make it. All the best to you both.
  • Also if you exercise remember to eat back your calories it definitally helps on days you have to indulge a bit.

    Thanks Everyone!

    I do exercise 5X per week so I am sure that will jump up the calorie allowance a bit.

    So, how do you get past a craving? My weekness is Champagne and peanut butter filled pretzels. Yummy!! I know I shouldn't buy either one but somehow they just end up in my cart and then end up in front me at home. How does that happen???:smile:

    This is a really great site. I didn't realize how many calories I was eating until it was all written out. Peanut butter is also my weakness. I've cut down some. Also, when you start eating cleaner and losing weight, it will motivate you to eat less of it.
