New to the Board

My name is Scott, and I live in Michigan. I am a stockbroker so I am mostly at my desk all day. People are always bringing in lunch for us, so it is hard to stay on track. I want to lose weight so I can lower my sugars. I am Type 2 diabetic. I really love bread which is a problem. Years ago, I discovered Dreamfield pasta which is very good, tastes nornal, and verly low in carbs.

Is there a good tasting bread that is not so bad for me?

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest trying any bread with lots of seeds in it. In the UK we can get Burgen soya and linseed bread which is high fibre and a good choice for diabetics. You can also buy low carb wraps online I believe but I haven't tried them

    Welcome Scott!

I have sugar issues myself - never diagnosed as diabetic, but on meds for my sugar.

It looks like you have gotten some responses regarding bread. Sorry to say I'm no help. I'm not big on bread, so I rarely eat it. (my carb love comes in the form of pasta)
  • THanks everyone for the suggestions.
  • Anyone have anything not too bad to eat at Olga's?????
