Counting calories forever!!!

I've lost weight and then gain it back and more not weighing myself and controlling my impulses. This time no matter what the future holds, I will always weigh myself daily and continue to log food and exercise. I may not count the calories/exercise everyday because of my hetic work schedule, but logging most of it makes me more accountable. Having it in black and white and looking at the trends either weekly or monthly on the reports puts things in persective. I've got about 15 more pounds to get where I was 5 years ago. I could be depressed that I'm not there yet in almost a year of this but, I know it could have gotten WAY worse if I wouldn't have started this process last January. I hope to continue beyond the 15 lbsmore I need to lose till I'm not obese, then to not over weight according to my height/bone structure. I'm happy with my progress and just continue to have the positive attitude. Now if I eat somethings that are full of non useful calories I usually get on the treadmill or tighten up my meals the next day or so and plan not to lose control of my weight again. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THROUGHT THE CHRISTMAS SEASON0

Spent 13 months to get to goal and will probably continue to count calories for another year while on maintenance but will see after that. I think as long as continue to track the other indicators (body fat %/weight) I will see the negatives early and know how to make adjustments. The calories should become intuitive but if I see changes needed from the other indicators, I would go back to counting calories until I'm back in the ranges I want.0

This Spring will be two years of me counting calories. Right now, my goal is to stop logging by the Summer. I will probably log an average day once in a while to see how I'm doing but yeah... I can't see this being a life-long thing.0

I've been at maintainance for a couple of weeks and I don't intend to count forever. I have given myself a two kg window - so if I see that I am creeping up, I will count at a small deficit every now and then if needed.
That said, I am hoping to do more weight training in the New Year, so that may affect the number on the scale eventually.0 -
Eventually I'll stop and just eat sensibly. My plan is to continue counting calories for a couple weeks after reaching my goal weight to make sure that I have a good understanding of what eating at maintenance is for me. Then I'll keep a watch on my weight and inches. If I see myself slipping, I'll go back to counting for a bit to get back on track.

I can see myself counting calories for the long-term. It keeps me honest and accountable, and I know that I need to keep myself in check.0
