Protein makes for nice beefy stool, while fiber helps make it slippery.

Way too much of either can make you gassy.I try to stay in a range on fiber, between 25-50 grams, or I have more issues.

How do manage to go over? I can't seem to get enough of either.

    Meat, fruit, veggies, breads.

For some their calories are set too low to get their base requirements as it is.

Customize your goals in MFP to get at least:
    - 15g+ of Fiber ( I have to add a supplement - whole psyllium gives your intestines the work they need).
    - 1g of protein/ lb of lean muscle mass ( I supplement that too) 80-100g minimum....

MFP goals are typically set too low in both of those categories.

I try to eat 100g of protein ,100 g carbs and 50 g fat in a1200-1500 cal diet. A nutritionist recomended this for me about a year ago based on my height, weight, activity level, and goals. I don't always reach my protein, but usually come close. I don't worry about fiber all that much because I don't have issues in that dept.
