Hi All, I have been using the app for about 12 weeks now. I have tried lots of other diets but have found the MFP app is great as it has made me more aware of what I am putting into my mouth. I was 150.5 kg 12 weeks ago and have just hit 130kg this week 20kg gone!
i am a 49 years old, live in New Zealand, and work in construction. My goal is to get down to 100kg. I have been on around 1500 cal per day but on another message board it was suggested that I increase my cals. MFP has given me 2130cal per day as a goal to lose 2 pounds per week. I did that for 5 days and put on 1.4 kg! worried now that I have stuffed my metabolism up so will be looking around this board for advice. I have gone back to 1500 cal for the time being.
Anyway I am looking forward to being a part of this community

Cute koala but odd since you are a NZ'er lol!
Edited to say that the best way at least for me was to find out your TDEE then subtract 15% off it to find out your calories to eat.0 -
