Is this really my TDEE?

I age like crap last week... it's finals and I've just been stressed for the past few weeks.

I averaged at 2725 through the last 7 days and, even with TOM being last week also, I weigh exactly the same as last week. I'm having a hard time believing that that is my TDEE, though... could it be true? Cuz if so, hells yeah food!

    Probably not your TDEE.

Eating that high for a week is unlikely to effect your weight. Weight gain is a long term thing. Eat like that for a year and you're likely to have put on pounds. Now think after 4 years or 8... they creep up.

Most people got their weight slowly, not over the course of a week.
  • This is true. But my TDEE is probably up there, though. But not that high.

My activity levels change from week to week so I'm just going to see what my Fitbit says after this week (which is a normal week despite finals)

1 week is not enough time to make a determination.

There are other factors that make up your overall weight besides fat

You could have a weekly average of this. I just got a HRM and my dailies have varied between 2,100 (very lazy) to 3,100 (extreme workout).

here is something that might help you, gives you a general idea of your TDEE
(credit goes to heybales for posting this)

How much have you been eating on avg daily for last 3 weeks - X

How much have you lost over the last 3 weeks - Y

    X + (Y * 3500 / 21) = TDEE

Eat that much for this level of activity, keep doing what you are doing.
  • I got 2640.

there will be room for error in that but that number is *around* what you should be eating to maintain.. youll just have to test it out
