If you mean Linkedin then I know what your talking about. It's a way to link up with other people in the same or similar professions. Lots of companies post jobs on there as well and you'll get notifications when there is something posted that fits your profile.

Well, I never used it before. I only started using it last month, but I find it pretty useful. You can post your summary and your skills so employers can contact you. You can make connections with your colleagues or people you met in school. You can also ask for recommendations or give them to other people. It's also useful if you're looking for a job, lots of employers post announcements there. It's basically a way to develop your professional network. I recommend it.

  • I have an account there but I don't log there regularly. But I will keep it anyway in case soon I will be needing to update my CV and other professional details or to look for another job.

Speaking as a recruiter, LinkedIn can be an invaluable tool in your job seeking repertoire. Recruiters will often head hunt people through their LI profile and if you are a candidate looking for a new position, you can apply for jobs direct. Definitely worth having a professional profile.

Indeed. I've been called/emailed by recruiters 4-5 times in the last year or so from my LI profile, and I keep in touch with my professional contacts through there as well.
