Do 'ewe' get it??

I know this is a fitness forum but I'm so confused!! I have seen heaps of people writing 'ewe' not 'you' lately. I'm sorry but what is this? Is this just a new level of people being illiterate or is it something on a show that I haven't cottoned onto? I've even seen a family member who is 50 years old writing 'ewe' and she should certainly know better being from the older generation.

I have to ask if you noticed that you had a spelling error in your spelling complaint. Do you see it?

What bugs me is when people use the incorrect too or two or to.We were taught in school what each one meant and where to use each.
  • Yeah it's a pet peeve of mine too! My jaw dropped when I saw it the first time.

I don't want to link to a post because I don't want to rudely point anyone out but I'm just aghast. I'm surprised no one else has seen it because I have seen it quite a bit over the last week.

Exactly Marly but where I can understand how too, two or to might accidentally slip in there because they're all used so often who uses 'ewe' much? I didn't know a female sheep was a ewe until I was 8 or something lol and by then I was firmly spelling 'you'.
  • haven't seen this yet... if I did I wouldn't have guessed it was suppose to mean "you" ...is "u" ok? I do that sometimes

Haaah. I'm going on 50 (Well 47) and I don't understand that. But if one of my friends has to say that, I would prefer it if they intermingled a cuss word in there now and then... into their sentance you know. Just so this old lady can understand it. I don't know, my hearing is kinda bad. Better order my hearing aid. I don't mind if they use bad grammar obviously.

Very observant of you! typos I can take but two for to or to for too or vice versa is irritating. Never saw "ewe" either!

I typically spell everything out excpet for lol omg and wtf lol other than that it bugs me if people dont like to type out their words. Sometimes i dont even know what some things say and i feel all dumb when they tell me... its like ok.. why didnt you just say that in the first place instead of making things more complicated and lazy... im scared to see what our new dictionary will look like lol!

Yeah, I don't get this either. I often see board instead of bored a lot too. I have to figure it's on purpose and it's just a fad. Unforutunately, I expect it's a fad that will last.
