I've found I often exceed my protein allowance lately averaging about 15 over, is this something I should really be trying to keep under control or not something to worry myself terribly over?

No. Your calorie goal is the only really important part.0 -
no, mfp sets protein quite low. going over is not a bad thing!0

From what i've read. Your body can't store excess amounts of protein beyond muscle protein synthesis. What ever the body can' sore. It excretes. It's not like carbohydrates or fats which get broken down into glucose or fatty acids (un-unsed these are stored as fat).0

Whey Isolate, Caseinate, Soy, Egg. All can help fat loss, just depends how you use them.0 -
I use GNC isolate but use mine for aiding my body to repair ..not for weightloss.0

You should try to aim for a minimum of 0.5g protein for every lb you weigh. So if you weigh 100lb you should aim for 50g of protein a day. I aim for about 75g a day of protein (although i sometimes dont manage to hit this high)0 -

I use USN igf-1 pure protein powder in vanilla0 -
If you really want to be on a diet that will get you ripped, you should target at LEAST 40% of your calories from protein. A 40/40/20 ratio is good, and you can even go as high as 50% protein calories.
Regarding which protein powder is best - go for the ones with the highest protein per calorie. Don't try to live on the shakes though!0
