So, I have NO way or time to get to a gym and have no equipment at home. I do own a yoga mat, 2-10lb weights, and a large yoga ball.
I'm just looking for people who might be able to give me some tips/suggestions on what I can do at home that will keep me at least SEMI-toned while I'm losing weight. I want to keep my muscles active as best I can at home. I walk a lot, but that doesn't help with midsection/arms/back, etc..
Maybe websites with good graphics that I can follow?
I'm also open to more friends, so add me if you'd like!
Thanks!

DVD's are a good choice for home and it is time to ask Santa for stuff. (You have been good haven't you?)0

Winter has forced me inside and I have discovered Sportskool workouts on cable's On Demand. It's not the same as getting into the sunshine and fresh air, but there is a pretty wide variety of workouts from yoga to kickboxing that you can do to mix it up and keep you motivated. Hope that helps.0

Did Zuzka really build that body at home with bodyweight and 5lb dumbbells? I want that body! I don't care if I'm not a girl - I WANT that body!0 -

I walk the dog and do 30 day shred. Thats it.0

I do loads of exercise at home at the moment as I can't get to the gym. I get quite a lot from youtube - all 3 of the 30 day shreds are on there as well as loads of other ones. I also record quite a few workouts from the Fitness TV channel. I also have the P90x. If you have a smart phone there are also workouts like the couch to 5k
If you are starting out, I really recommend Fitness Blender - they talk you through the exercise really well and there is a huge range of levels/abilities. A lot of them are equipment free (but you may find you start building up a wee collection of weights, resistance bands etc)
Another alternative is local classes
I don't know what your starting level is - if you are a beginner, just try a few different things until you find something that suits you - but you don't need a gym to be getting decent calorie burns.0 -
Jillian's "Ripped in 30" is wonderful

I have dumbbells (8 - 20 lbs), a 10lb medicine ball, my tv, some DVDs, and the Nike Training Club app (free!) for my iPhone. Used to do the DVDs all the time, but have been doing Nike Training Club workouts 3 days a week (mix and match, 15 - 45 minutes each), and running 3 days a week. Just started running at the end of January this year with the c25k program (also free apps). Never been a gym member. Although I do wish I either had a membership or room for bigger weights at home, because I'm rapidly outgrowing the weights I've got. They get pricey as they get heavier. LOL But I do what I can with what I've got.
Check your library for workout DVDs - mine has quite a few, and what they didn't have at my branch I could request from other branches. Great way to check them out before buying and to get some variety. Otherwise, watch the sales (or check YouTube, som Jillian Michaels workouts can be found there), especially after Christmas, as fitness equipment and DVDs will go on sale everywhere to catch all the New Years resolutions.0 -

What about getting bands? Varied resistance and much less space.0
