Eh. I normally hate motivational posts on MFP. I don't log in for sermons... BUT... this one was pretty good.1

Bump and thanks for putting it up!0

Totally agree. Everything changed when I DECIDED not to be sick anymore. No more "I wish, I want". Now I "DO". Strange how easy it is now that the thought process is completely different.2

Bump. Everyone needs to read this.0

Enduring chemotherapy is hard.
Hitting a fast ball in the major leagues in hard.
Negotiating nuclear disarmament from a hostile nation is hard.
Saying goodbye to a loved one in the hospital or the veterinarian’s office for the last time is hard.
But putting down the cookies and picking up the spinach? That’s only as hard as the story we tell ourselves.
Great post, love this bit especially!!2 -

This really movedme. I sometimes hate MFP for giving me an unhealthy eating pattern while managing to over exercise and under eat. I was already in the habit of eating well, just eating a little too much. Following every little thing made me feel very anal and damn hard to be around. It also wasted a lot of time.
I am doing better recently. I hope that translate to weight loss one of these days. We will be on the lookout. This blog post is just what I needed for a kick in the pants and a reminder to keep it real and not over do it.0 -
bump, want to read later0

There is, for the most part, the answer to every single question on MFP. Found the picture of the soldiers at the tomb very powerful. They decide and choose to be there.
OK so its habits and descisions. Almost too simple, but very powerful. It's just deciding that we really want to work because its "hard."
So eat the appropriate amount (listen to your body), and move yourself a bit harder. Love it. Thank you OP for posting this.0 -

Seemed like a good thread to bump...
...especially since we're at the peak of Resolutioner drop-out season.
("Hey! Resolutioners...don't quit. Instead, reevaluate the appropriateness of your program...(aka, set a more reasonable calorie limit)...and then reevaluate your commitment to what needs to be done.")1 -

"i'm just a little tired of seeing people on MFP asking for others to "motivate" them. what they need is discipline."

You ruined it!
Great original post but this is just brainless trolling!1
