Hello! I went to a barre/pilates blend class this morning for the first time, and I haven't felt my thighs on fire like that in a LOOONNG time. Needless to say - I want more. I'm looking into getting a barre DVD to do at home; does anyone have any suggestions on a good one? Thanks in advance!

Interesting - do you need to have a barre fitted to a wall at home?

No, even the classroom I was in this morning didn't have one; we just had one hand against a wall.

Old version of this is The Lotte Burk Method. Whew, does it burn the thighs and butt. All it needs is a yoga mat and a waist high chair.

I really like Bar Method Change Your Body to start with. She explains everything well, and the stretches are nice. I have tried Lotte Berk, Dailey Method, Bar Method Beginner and Super Sculpting I, and Fluidity Bar DVD's.

I have the Dailey Method DVD. The Express workout was a little too advanced for me. I did the longer workout the other day. It burns more calories than the Bar Method Change Your Body, but it is a little more advanced, too.
