Christmas Gift Ideas for dad

Seriously... I'm at a complete loss. My dad is 60, and no longer enjoys any hobbies. Seriously. He doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't exercise. He no longer wants or needs any tools and quit wood working or any home project stuff.

He likes puzzles (like get the horseshoe off this ring contraption), but we get him something like that every year. He likes technology and is all apple, but he has the newest iPhone and iPad.

Last year, I got him a snow removal service for Christmas as he has cancer and took to having neighbors do it. - He called and cancelled it b/c he didn't want me paying for it.

I'm at a total freaking loss. Any ideas are welcome.

We have a Popcorn Factory booth at our mall. They are selling a deal/package where if you bought so many bags of popcorn (the smaller ones like you see near registers) they knocked it down to a cheap price ($14, no matter how many) PLUS gave you a free popcorn bucket. I did that for my dad, plus will be throwing in a season of Leverage.

Something like that, would he like it?

    Oy vey....this a tough one.

I normally don't advocate gift cards, but when someone is this hard to buy for, I normally default to them.

Maybe a gift card to the Apple store, so when they inevitably come out with something a month from now, he can put it towards that? Or maybe get some accessories for his iPad? Not a lot of help, I know, but I have no clue what I would get someone like that either.

ooh i like this one! you can even get it printed on a canvas - those always look nice!

Also - itunes gift cards are prefect for him to pick out some new things on his iPad. or browse Amazon for what "people that bought an Ipad also looked at..."

I'm actually giving my Dad a gift card this year for exactly this reason. He's tough to shop for.

Hmm Sounds like a tough one...

Does/did he like to travel? My dad has been to close to 30 countries, so this year for Christmas I made him a book with pictures, stories, etc, and a coin from each country he has been too, and had both of my sisters help with it... None of us are particularly artistically gifted... so it looks like a couple little kids made it instead of a bunch of girls in their 20's... But it is personalized.

If you have time to get it together... There was an idea on Pinterest... for her Dad's 60th birthday, she had 60 of his friends and family members write him a letter about what they remembered most about him.

Food always makes good gifts for guys too!

Oh, and I am going home three days early to help him on the farm for a few days. Nothing says "Merry Christmas Dad, I love you!" like mucking stalls and building fences in 25 degree weather.

Does your town have an airport nearby? Maybe a flying lesson?

He's done that for years and is no longer interested. Seriously he's ridiculous.

Does your dad play golf? If so, you can get him some golf gear. If it's something he wants to learn, you can get him lessons.

Do you think he would enjoy a cruise or an all-inclusive resort?

My dad can never have enough cameras. He seems to want a new one every couple of months.
