Low budget snack ideas

Options
Ok so still getting used to how this works, asked my friends and then remembered i can reach more people by doing it this way!! :) i am getting tired of my granola and nutrigrain bars and looking for new snack ideas. I have yogurt too but that is usually for breakfast. Just trying not to "burn out" on foods before i really get going with this! I plan to stick with this lifestyle change for the rest of my life :)

I get jalapeno yogurt dip (50 cal per serving) and dip raw veggies (carrots, snap peas, cucumbers, green onions, broccoli, etc). Nuts are a great snack also, just be sure to weigh them for an accurate calorie count.

Peanut butter (or any nut butter) on a celery stalk is still one of my favourite snacks - salty and crunchy at the same time.

I have started to look at individual nutritional things. I have spent my time really concentrating on calories for now but am looking at where to put my efforts next. It seems to be that sugar, sodium and cholesterol are what i tend to have too much of on a regular basis...so that will probably be where my next efforts go. :)

I'm not terribly fond of veggies, so I try to use fresh fruits and veggies as snacks. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but any extra fresh produce helps my health!

Something that is healthier and taste pretty good is goats cheese. It goes well on pizza instead of the other stuff.
