If those two articles don't make your day 100% better, I don't know what will... :)

Also, maybe we can use this thread to just post awesome/nice things that have happened in our personal lives that have helped us to restore faith in humanity? Go for it if you have something!

Oh wow. What an incredible post. And some great images with wonderful stories!

I have so many great things that I have witnessed over the years. I will share two now and, (as long as I can keep it in my ADHD head, I'll return to share other stories. :-)

Most recently, there are 2 sets of people that have greatly impacted my life. Lots pf personal issues and "life" pounding me took it's toll on me and the close of this semester I was in a bad place. I had my profs who were fantastic and one in particular, Dr. Kondratieff, would not give up on me and would not let me give up on myself.

And the other is the recent influx of new MFP friends who support and encourage me. It may not seem like much, but for me it made a difference. Both helped me realize my potential again and gave me the boost I needed.

The other story happened many years ago. My family and I were homeless, having lived in our car for several years while I was young into early teens. Once we finally were able to settle in a home, we still didn't have enough money for things but we had a home.
The first Thanksgiving, we did not have the money for the big traditional meal. But someone left in our mailbox a gift certificate to the grocery store in our small town. It was for the entire big Thanksgiving dinner.
The gifter did not leave a name or note. Just gave us Thanksgiving.
Over the years, we have wondered who that was.
But since then, I have always kept that in mind and continue to "pay it forward." Doing something for others, small or large, just helping someone.

    Good topic, Erica! Thank you!
