I have been dieting and exercising since July. I am starting to get bored. I have also started crossfit, but I am having the most trouble staying on track with food. Especially with all of the holiday parties and get togethers. Any suggestions on how i can keep on track and stay the course?

Um......you won't lose weight or get fit if you don't stay on a calorie goal. The only motivation anyone should need.0

Unfortunately, that is not all i need. I have a significant amount of weight to lose. I have already lost 45 lbs. but thank you for your input.0

The only thing i can think of to suggest would be to head for salad sections of the xmas do foods, ask for water at the bar rather than alcohol or fizzy drinks, erm lots of dancing at the disco but you can treat yourself to a little something nice too. If you completely deny yourself you will become resentful towards the diet. If your at home and nobody is around throw some good music on and boogy lots and that way your using lots of calories which makes up for excess foods eaten. Not much help really i dont think but have a great Christmas x0

One step at a time this didn't all happen in one day ....
Start by making small (healthy) changes.....

Hahah hey, son of a gun, Altus, I was there from 2000 to 2002. :-D Boot Scooter's still around?0

Tracking my calories on the MFP app has really helped me get through the parties. It takes me 1 min to type in my cals and sometimes I'll decide that a certain treat isn't worth it. Also it feels great to get good workouts in and eat healthy and have plenty of room for a cheat meal at a holiday party. Just don't mindlessly binge. Enjoy everything you eat. You've earned it.0

Yes, actually. If you have trouble staying on a lower calorie diet around the holidays, then don't. Eat your required daily calories (whatever you would burn being sedentary plus most of your exercise calories). Keep working out. Actually, crossfiting and eating all your calories is probably great for muscle building!!! Anyway, take some pics and take some measurements. Take a second to decide what you're doing here. What's your goal??? Weight loss, fitness, muscle? Make some measurable attainable goals.
After the holiday, if weight loss is your goal, adjust your calories accordingly and get to it. No need to beat yourself up if you're feeling down. If your weight stays exactly the same throughout the holiday, and you still keep up with your workouts, your heart and body will have gotten stronger because of it.
I say - maintain .... then hit some fresh goals after Christmas!!!
And FABULOUS job on your weight loss. I get a little down now and again...my journey has been stops and starts of gains and successes. Thank GOODNESS the successes have outweighed the gains in the past 5 years!0 -
^^^^ this! I needed to hear that myself!0
