Panda Express Portions

I have looked at the online nutrition guide and the database on MFP, but I am not understanding portion size. EG: Chow Mein serving is listed as 8.3oz. Is the the amount that is a side, like in a Panda Bowl, or a small individual side, or are they the same? And does the ounces refer to 8oz. as in a cup, or as in half a pound?
It is high in calories for what seems like a small portion. With that said, it will probably be eaten once a week and I will just balance out the rest of the day. Just want to make sure I get it....
I'll also STEP AWAY FROM THE CHICKEN EGG ROLL!

8oz is a cup which is 1/2 a pound. The reason for the high calories is due to the fact they cook their food in animal fat, or lard. So it is going to be high in calories and saturated & trans fat.
Hope that helps! :-)0 -
They have quite a few healthy options as well, so try to stick with the veggie plates. Yummy!0
