No More Excuses -- Week 21

  • Hello everyone....

Sorry that I have been MIA. Life has gotten in the way and too busy and not around a computer to even post. Blood sugar still out of whack and I haven't even weighed in 2 weeks. I'm afraid to. Eating habits have been very bad and just grabbing what ever is available. Hopefully things will get back to normal. I danced for 2 and 1/2 hours at a very fast pace. I got my heart rate up to 160, which is very high for me. I slept like a baby all night and I feel like doing it again this morning. Anyway, I will try to do better from now on and get with the program.

    Good morning all!

Susan....great job on the 1 lb loss already.

Hawkeye...way to go on the extra reps. I still have to try your crunches. I did some regular crunchas as part of my extra last night after I got off the treadmill. And I can feel them this morning!!!

Teresa....Way to get back with it. I think just having the idea in the back of our mind all the time kind of helps too. Don't be afraid of the scale. It will let you know what you need to do to correct. 2 1/2 hours of dancing....are you kidding me??? I would have had to have had oxygen. Good for you! I totally understand about the busy lifestyle and grabbing what is available. I think we all go through that at some point.

As for me....I am looking forward to my workout tonight again. I felt so good last night. I did push myself and that always helps. I think my extra today will be maybe walking at lunch.

    Everyone have a super day!

to Sarina87 - good for you. Way to go

I took a pilates/ball workout class at noon. It worked every muscle in my body. Love the ball. So perhaps I can have 1 glass of wine tonight -

On second thought I had better not with Easter Sunday dinner coming. One glass usually turns into 3 or more !!

Morning team...Having a rough week getting my exercise in. We are going camping today and I've been trying to get everything ready. I have missed exercising other than kayaking since Monday. I plan to get in some jogging, hiking and kayaking while we are camping so hopefully that will help, however, as of right now I have found 3 extra pounds. Amazing how fast you can find it! Typing this morning and then heading out. I will be MIA this weekend because the state park doesn't have internet. Hope you all have a Happy Easter! See you Monday.

Good morning all! And Happy Holy Friday to all my Christian mfp friends!!! And to all of my non-Christian friends...I hope you have a wonderful day as well!!! ;) (I don't want to offend anyone!)

Well, I dropped the ball and do anything extra yesterday. I didn't eat extra either, so hopefully it will work out in the end. I did make it to curves but then not much after that!

We had a 1,000 acre grass fire near by last night. We had fire hazard warnings with 60 mph winds, and they suspect someone was burning trash! Okay....that is just dumb! SORRY!!!! It's just sometimes I wonder about those people that seem to have absolutely no common sense. Thank goodness as far as I have heard, no injuries and no property lost. People were evacuated but we have a fantastic fire dept and I think they got it under control in time. There were 4 depts that responded.

Today should be fairly quiet and if all goes well, I plan on sending people home early!!! ;) They will like that!

Better get to work so I can send myself early! Have a splendid Easter if I don't get back on here!

Good Monday morning. The kids went back to school today and I am sad. I always hate it when they have to go back. My youngest had a hard time getting ready and almost started crying. He got plenty of sleep so I think it was just reality setting in. We did something with him every day last week while he was off and then we went camping and kayaking over the weekend, so I'm sure it is hard to go back to school. My oldest dumped us for his friends most days. I guess we better get used to that. He turns 16 in a couple of weeks. He will be working for the summer for the first time so we have a lot of changes coming up. Anyway, I had gained a couple of pounds during the week and somehow lost them while we were camping. I think it was all the hiking, bike riding and kayaking. We stayed pretty busy. I have set a goal for myself to lose 12 pounds by my birthday, which is May 24. That will still leave me 10 pounds from my goal but so much closer. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning all!!! Back to Monday. Tammy I feel your son's pain....I didn't want to have to come back to work after such a great week-end either!!!

Well I stayed the same for the week, but that is okay. I am not giving up and am determined to make it past the 160 mark this week. Don't have a game plan as of yet, but I know logging my food is a biggy. When I get lazy on that, as I have been, it just doesn't work. Suppose to be fairly nice weather all week. So that will be great to be able to be outside!

Hope everyone has a great Monday. (Well as great as a Monday can be)

Well I am back to my weight before last week's weigh in. With that said, I can't remember the last time I had a day when my sodium was anywhere near 2500. Hoping that most of what I have gained back is water weight. I actually exercised all 7 days last week, but I have been pretty bad on my nutrition. Of course all that easter candy being around didnt help matters much. Anyway, would like to hit my goal by the end of the month, but these last few pounds really seem to be the hardest to lose.

I stayed the same as last week - which is a wonder with all I consumed. Should be thankful for that I guess.

Good morning team...I have a light day of typing today since offices were light for the holiday. I plan on going to the gym and getting caught up on some housework. Hubby and I are going to lunch, which we haven't done for a while. Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning all!!! We look a little weak lately. Hope everyone is just busy and haven't had time to log in and not giving up on us! I find all of your support priceless.

We are suppose to have more wind here in Colorado today. I am sick of the wind. YUCK!!! We have had massive gusts and it kept me up most of the night. Blowing in a front for tonight and into tomorrow. Temps are pretty good though in the 50's today and tomorrow. Then rebounding back up into the 70's through the week-end. YIPEE!!!! I love the 70's and 80's. Spring is great!

Trying to be good all week!!!! ;)

I hurt my back yesterday gardening. So I took the day off work because I couldn't straighten up. . I was walking gingerly out to get the newspaper this morning and slipped and fell down the wet porch steps. But guess what - My back must have snapped back in place because lo and behold no more pain.

I don't recommend this type of therapy. But since I was in pain yesterday I ate next to nothing and lost my Easter weight gain (or lack of loss rather)  and was down to 148.2 this morning.

So there really is a bright side to everything.

Morning all, I have been MIA for the last few days, but I am back at it today. Well actually I started last night with aerobics (so I could eat that last bit of chocolate - lol). Packed on a few pounds this weekend, but hopefully by next week we can be back were we were. Have a few more functions this month, but the worse is over. Going to the chiro tom, so hopefully he snaps me back in place. Kids are off from school, so have no real commitments this week. Still have lots of books and taxes to finish up on. And the weather is finally nice here, right now 7.6C.

Just did 30 min on treadmill, burned 330 cals and went 2 miles.

Hope everyone has a good day, I must go hit the shower (it is already 10am here), time to get the day started. Will check back in tonight,
