Trying to get back on track

Hi everyone,
My name is Caroline and I'm new here on the forums. I used MFP a few months ago, but decided to start using the message boards to gain motivation and ideas from other members. Since graduating college and starting a job I've gained quite a bit of weight and am hoping to get back to the energy levels and clothes sizes of my college years. The thing I struggle with most is eating healthy as I live with two guys who could care less about their health! I look forward to getting to know you all more.

Welcome!
We are here to help.
Our 'home life' can mean a lot. Doesn't matter what the guys are doing, unless they are cooking your meals.
Meal planning can be a Big thing. Keeping healthy foods on hand keeps you snacking on good things vs bad.
Get some exercise in. Its amazing how much better you can feel after a work out. It helps you Want to eat better, and that helps the circle.
Watch those empty calories of pop and alcohol!
Feel free to add me if you'd like

I would shop for yourself then and lock up/put up your foods you dont want them eating. I would make your own food.0

Thanks all! That's the only issue I have - I don't like cooking (esp. after a long day) and one of the guys I live with is a great cook. I've started creating meal plans to keep me on track and I think I was pretty successful today. Glad to have everyone here to keep me accountable.0

I'm attempting take advantage of boards and actually fill out my profile to increase my motivation as well. Been having a hard time staying in track, it is so difficult not eating crap food when it around, that would be a tough situation. I, here for support and hope you get to where you want and can stay on track. You got this!0

You should have the good cook guy give you lessons or tips! (Is there any chance you could convince him to cook healthier meals? Cus having a personal chef would be awesome!!) If you do get into a cooking mood, make a big batch and store the rest as leftovers for the nights you dont want a quick meal. I've lived with guys that were unhealthy eaters too, and it takes alot of focus and determination to keep you on track. I think mfp will help with that! There are some really motivating, positive people on here Good luck and feel free to add me0
