I guess where I get to start is saying that I had a horrible accident on new years eve last year. This put me on bed rest for about 6 months and during those 6 months I gained about 50 pounds. My hunger button is apparently broken. I'm ALWAYS hungry. No matter how much I eat, I'm still wanting more. I've been told by my doctors that this is because I was on a feeding tube for so long. Not sure if I believe it but whatever. I'm trying very hard to cut back what I eat, but it's hard because I never know when I'm full. I'm starting water aerobics to help lose this extra weight that I put on because I physically can't do anything out of the water yet. I'm hoping it will give me the boost in endurance and rehab that I'm needing.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and I hope all goes well with my plans.

mostly I've been eating whole wheat pasta or some chicken. I rarely get to eat veggies, but it's mostly because we don't have them around my house, not that I won't eat them. I don't really like breakfast foods, and I'm known to love snickers ice cream since I can't actually eat chocolate.

I think you are on your way. baby steps will lead you to your goals. Track you food carefully. Water aerobics is awesome; it is moving:). I have found that reading the posts here and friending people who give good advice has helped me lots to feel confident about my progress.

You can do it :) PT can be hard, but it's so worth it, just take it one day at a time, and track everything you eat! :)

I think I understand what you mean about being hungry all the time because you were on a feeding tube for a while. When my daughter was born, she couldn't nurse or ingest anything for her first few days - she had an IV. But after a few days, she was the loudest baby in NICU, the nurses started giving her some sugar water to quiet her down. For years, she would get hysterical when she was hungry. I'm convinced it was because subconciously she remembered being hungry for her first few days of life. She's 8 years old now, skinny as a rail (because she so active) but sometimes she's weird about food.

Hang in there.....you've been able to overcome so much so far, I know you will keep doing well. :)
