Hi guys I hav been doing weights only 2kg iv never had a muscle in my life I as in the shower this morning an felt a lump in my breast were my pecks are do you think this lump is to do with exercise or its something more serious x

    Go to the dr, better to be safe then sorry. It could be just nothing, but you need to get it checked out. You wont look stupid, hope it will all be fine.

    Hi - just go and get it checked out - the doctors won't think you are being stupid - chances are it is nothing but more stupid not to get it checked out - I had something similar a couple of years back - turned out to be absolutely nothing but I wasn't made to feel stupid for getting it checked - quite the opposite!!!

    Go to the doctor a lump is never stupid but to ignore it certainly is! make an appointment today 9 out of 10 are harmless but dont ever take that chance!best of luck!

    Would you rather feel stupid if it's nothing serious or regret not going if it is? Get down to the doctors ASAP. It probably IS nothing serious, but better to be safe than sorry.

    I agree with everyone here, make an appointment, it is more than likely nothing but you will feel so much better getting it checked and being sure, don't ever feel silly for checking things like this hun

    I agree, better feel stupid for a couple of minutes if it is nothing, than waking up in the near future, wishing you had acted early!

    Edit: Plus, now that it is on your mind, will you be able to let it go, when you have not checked it out?

    No true doctor will ever think you stupid for getting something checked. I think you should get it checked. It's always best to get these things checked early.

    If it's nothing, you have peace of mind. If it's something, you've found it early.

    Don't worry - just get it checked.

    My friend 38 years young with 3 kids under 5 years of age, died from breast cancer last week.

    Agree with everyone here. See the doctor about this. A few years ago I felt lumps in the underarms, so I did a pap smear test. Thank goodness it was nothing. Take the precaution and make the appointment.

    If you have not already called to make an apointment, DO IT NOW. Go immidiatly to your phone and make the apointment. Go to the doctor. Period. Your muscles in that area would not feel like a bump. Better safe then sorry.

    I know, that does sound weird, but it's true. I had that back in 2005 just to make sure I didn't have any type of cancer. You never know when the underarms can lead to something in a completely different part of the body.

    How big is this lump you are feeling. I've had lumps and I've had muscle and they don't feel the same.

    If its a single pea-ish sized mass in you pec region, it's a lump. Go get it checked.

    If it feels different than the other pec, or than it usually does. Go get it checked.

    If it hurts. Go get it checked.

    If it isn't any of the things above, but you are worried about it. Go get it checked.

    well, yeah, as a secondary test, but a pap isn't going to rule out the lymphoma or breast cancer that is most likely to present with underarm lumps, it would only prove that it didn't metastasize. If you ONLY get a pap, the lumps could still be bad, it just sounded like you only had a pap and didn't biopsy the lumps....

    Well you have lymph nodes under your arms so it kind of makes sense, but the should have done more than a Pap test.

    You say your 'scared'. Go to the doctor and, if all is diagnosed well, you will feel better - isn't that what the doctor's job is all about?

    Agreed. Better to be stupid for going and finding it's nothing than stupid for not going and finding out too late that it's something!

    The stupid thing would be to not get it checked out.

    Sure, you may look dumb because it's nothing but you could also not go and it be cancer. No question regarding your health is a stupid question. The only stupid thing is not paying attention to your body and not having changes checked out.

    Hi guys wheni the docs there is a lump there but everything is perfect going for a scan next week to make sure but he said nothing to worry about thanks for all your support x
