I have fortunatly never suffered from bad spots or acne etc but recently over the past 2 weeks or so my face has been a fortress for bad spots.
They are big and they are sore and they are very very red.
One goes and another one appears.
It makes no sense to me - I am eating healthier than ever before and drinking enough water to fill a swimming pool yet my skin looks like I live off junk food.
Does anyone have any suggestions on why this might be or what I can do to prevent it - It is really getting me down

See a dermatologist. You could have a systemic infection or something else, or just adult acne. You may need to go on antibiotics for a couple of months too. Either way, seek a qualified opinion from a doctor.
When selecting a dermatologist try to find a clinical one or an older one with old school experience. Most dermatologists these days are glorified Cosmeticians who have lost their way and no longer focus on curing diseases and chronic issues. You are lucky to get in at all if you have a skin infection. If you need a cosmetic procedure, they'll take you asap.0 -
Oh gosh - that was a far more dramatic response than what I was expecting!!
Thank you for your advice though however in England you have to be referred by your GP to see anyone remotely specialist (i.e. a Dermatologist) and I wouldn't get a referral for a few spots..0 -
Well, you did describe them as big and very, very red, so that suggests a possible infection. Go see your GP and see if they will refer you.0

How do you know?
Just ignore them then, they are bound to go away..
