Putting the Scale Away...

This morning, I decided that I'm putting the scale away and won't weigh in until after the first of the year. (Assuming we survive past this Friday ) It's the holidays and while I don't plan on going crazy and eating everything in sight (except for maybe on Christmas Day), I am going to continue to bust my butt at the gym every day and enjoy these next few weeks without freaking out about what the scale says.

...especially if the world is coming to an end on Friday, I best be sure to get in some of my last favorite foods before then. :drinker:

The scale is officially put away. Who's with me?

I hopped on the scale this morning for the first time in a week and am still 150lbs, but I know I've lost inches. That's all I needed to tell me to ditch that evil thing ;)

I wish you the best of luck but I'm weighing everyday for the duration of my P90X experiment. I just want to be able to show people how MUCH the scale fluctuates, even when you're eating right and exercising. :)

But I wish you the best! I'm sure nothing terrible will happen in the few weeks that are left to the new year. :)

Usually I weigh in daily to keep me on track with *what* I'm eating. I'm fully aware that the scale can fluctuate daily...but it's like an addiction. LoL. Every morning, I get up, go to the bathroom, strip down to my birthday suit and hop on. I just don't want to feel guilty if I go up a few pounds for the next few weeks. I refuse. It's the holidays and I want to enjoy them!

BTW - P90X is a GREAT program. If I get snowbound this winter, it's my fallback workout. :flowerforyou:

I've done it before, and LOVED it. I've also done Insanity, but never completed the full 60 days - I made it to about week 6 before I got sidetracked and started going to the gym every day instead.

Before I started this experiment I was weighing once a week and before that once a month. You can definitely do this. :) Just put that scale in a hard to reach place. Out of sight. out of mind. :)

I wish I could. I'm a scale reading junkie. Almost daily occurance. Perhaps after Christmas Day...
