Are you kidding me? No food in our office?

Ugh. It's the holidays! Why aren't our offices filled with the smells of freshly baked cookies and pastries? Where is that Albanian woman that always brings us baklava on that big cookie sheet and will only give us one piece no matter how much we sweet talk her? Why are there no cookie swaps this year?
I want fudge and baklava and rosettes! I earned it. Why do you think I bust my *kitten* doing all those Spartan daily challenges? Yeah, yeah, so I don't die during the race. But mostly so I can eat all the Holiday treats! Why did I spend all this time this past year pouring through the forums, learning about eating healthy, asking my friends their advice and finally learning that I can eat the things I love in moderation, that a cheat day won't kill me, and that it is my God given, er, MFP given right to enjoy some baklava?
What's a girl to do! I may call out of work this week so I have time to bake all the yummy goodness that my office is seriously lacking!

From where i sit, i see a huge aluminum roaster pan full of cheese and sausage and a gift box of gourmet popcorn and candy. Seems a little light this year. that counter should be buried.0

My office is shockingly devoid of the usual Christmas fare this year also. But I am okay with that!!!0

slackers!0

Thats the only thing i miss about working with the rest of the office staff. I now work in the shop with production and we lack all kinds of Christmas goodness because eating back here is seriously unhealthy.0
-
I brought in chocolate dipped toffee pretzels, peppermint bark, and coconut chocolate chip bars. All homemade by me of course. I have to take care of these boys in my office!0
-
My office is lacking in food too :frown:
Since our holiday pitch-in is tomorrow, I'm really hoping these people bring in some goodies then.0 -
Yup, no one here has brought in anything yet either.
I'm going to turn that around tomorrow and bring in a platter of tasty treats that I baked over the week-end.0 -
I have nothing either. Except a week old foil wrapped loaf of bread that was dry to begin with.
How am I supposed to eat my feelings this year? Its no fun with vending machine Cheetos.0 -
Tonight I'm making homemade tarts, lemon coconut, cranberry-cherry, and apple cinnamon, and I'm bringing them ALL to work
I also sent everyone in my family homemade chocolates0 -
Big Christmas party here Friday...there will be plenty of tasty treats around here come Friday...I think everyone is just saving it up for the big bash around here.0

If it makes you feel any better...someone brought homebaked cookies in today (which was very sweet of them) and I caved and tried one because they looked so yummy. They were dry as can be and I had to chug a gallon of water to re-hydrate my mouth! :drinker:0 -
I really look forward to the free food this time of year, I usually don't even bring a lunch because I know that I'll be eating brownies and cookies and those doughy Portuguese things...Malasades maybe?0

The kids and I baked all weekend and are having a great time sharing our treats! I try to at least taste whatever people bring in, but we definitely don't have much around this year, either...0

I want rosettes.
My mom hasn't made them in years and I don't have the fancy tools (although I see you can order them on amazon).
I am making pecan pie brownies for our work shindig tomorrow. I am guessing that is when everyone will start bringing in goodies.0 -

I have my grandmother's rosette's, it's one of the only things I have of hers and I treasure them! We used to make them together. You can get them at Bed, Bath and Beyond too!0 -
There is a serious lack of sweets around here today but we're doing a cookie/treat swap on Wednesday so I'll be happy in my sugar coma soon enough!0

What about all of us who have no office, hence, no chance of even having no food in our office. Geesh. What's a girl to do? I guess I need to get a job.0
