Getting into shape is not easy.
Staying in shape is not easy.
Workouts are tough. They raise your heart rate, they push you to your limits. They make you sweat. Sometimes they make you less than perfumy.
You may break a nail. You may end up with a red face.
You should have wet spots on your clothes from your sweat.
You'll wake up the next day sore in places you never dreamed. Some days it may hurt to brush your teeth, and the best you can manage is a ponytail because you can't lift your arms high enough to brush your hair.
Your legs may be so sore, you have to let gravity help you onto the toilet, and a handicap bar help you off of it.
THIS IS A GOOD SIGN!
You will have to start saying no. No to cheesecake, cinnamon buns, copious amounts of calories.
You will start to feel guilty when you open that bag of chips... OMG 20 chips is 400 calories? *passing out*
You may need to start counting calories.
You may need to say no to your family when they invite you for dinner. Or, choose the lighter options on the menu. Or add in an extra exercise routine to manage the extra calories.
You will have friends and family tell you that you're perfect the way you are. The same ones who told you that you were getting pudgy. You will have people helping you justify bad food choices, or taking a break from exercises.
Losing weight and / or inches takes WORK. It is HARD.
Is it worth it?
HELL YEAH!
and trust me... the endorphin rush after that crazy burn - priceless
the feeling of moving up a notch on your belt - incredible
the confidence of walking around the house naked after meeting your goal weight - absolutely amazing
