Monthly Cycle:
Do I weigh myself when I am "on" or should I wait? (Sorry if that sounds dumb) I retain a lot of water and drink through it. What do you ladies do? I so want to weigh but I have a feeling it wont be correct and that would dishearten me.

Some woman can gain upwards of 5lbs during their cycle so you main see a gain. I don't see any change but I think I am a minority there0

I wouldn't. You retain alot of water when you're on your period so I woulod wait it out and carry on eating healthily and exercising. Weigh yourself next week :0)0

Thanks ladies, I kind of though I shouldn't - I wont0 -
I try to always skip during this time! I tend to see 3-5+ pound gains if I do brave the scale.0

I wouldn't. I made this mistake this week and according to the scale I gained about 6 pounds
I definitely don't think that's possible! I'm not weighing again until next Friday...

I think you just have to figure out what will work best for you. You know yourself better than anyone--if you see weigh yourself and see a gain, will that derail you? Will you be able to accept that it's likely not a "real" gain and just due to that time of the month?
Personally, I weigh myself as normal, every Saturday morning, regardless of where I'm at in my cycle. Some months, it's made a difference in my weigh-in and some months it hasn't. For me, it makes sense to check in like normal because it's something I'm going to be dealing with for the foreseeable future. It's something that is a part of my life, so It's easier for me to learn how to work with it...but again, that's just me.
Everyone really is different...and I say, if you don't want to weigh, don't weigh. It's not the end of the world. The weight loss police aren't going to knock down your door...just do what feels right to you!0 -
I stayed away from the scare before and during. I weighed the day it was gone. Now, I'm staying off the scale for 9 more months! lol0

It really just depends how you react to the scale. If you are the type to get upset should the scale not display a number you want to see then I would say don't bother.
I weigh every week, sometimes it's up, some down. I actually lost close to 3 lbs last month during that time and have also lost during other months so for me it's not a big thing.0 -
Hay, good luck!
