Lifting NSV

Finished my first Stronglift workout. It was a bit embarrassing at first to be using that little weight. Well I look like I'm able to lift a lot more than I am. So it just felt awkward just using the bar. But then I decided I'd rather be embarrassed than hurt. and moved on. I'm glad i was able to get through one small workout and feel good about it.

I have a habit of doing way too much too fast. So I am trying to keep this simple and do the strength 3x times a week for 30-45 and cardio 3x a week for 30 -45 and not on the same days. Just need to make sure im keeping my calories up

Congrats!! I think you'll be surprised with how fast you'll make strength gains. :)

I do the same thing on the treadmill, trying to train myself to run. I get embarrassed just walking so I start before I'm properly warmed up and always end up straining my ankles so much I can't finish the workout!

Congrats! I'm only in my second week of lifting, but I can tell you that I'm already feeling SO much stronger and more confident than that first day. Use the time with the lighter weight to really nail your form and you'll be making huge strides in power in no time!

Take the time to get your form right with the lower weights and soon enough you'll be making teh gainz. It's better to have perfect form with lighter weights than sh***y form with heavy weights.
