strength training - AT HOME HELP!

Do you have a routine that could be done at home - without machines? I do cardio on my treadmill. However, I'm looking to add some weights to my routine.

Thanks!

    What equipment do you have?

If you have a barbell and weights- Stronglifts 5x5.

If you don't- get a copy of "You Are Your Own Gym"

I've been doing New Rules of Lifting for Women with dumbbells, but some of the moves I have to research to find subs for, since I don't have an incline bench.

I've got a TRX, my husband is in the military and they guys use them when they are overseas. There are other versions out there too, some a bit cheaper. You vary the intensity of the workout by changing the position of your body. I love it, it really changed my shape for the better.

I have two similar suspension trainers, a CrossCore 180 and Jungle Gym XT. Love them both.

I got started in heavy weight lifting with ChaLEAN Extreme. All you need are dumb bells or resistance tubing, and a yoga mat. I will inbox you a link to check it out!

ChaLEAN Extreme is not a heavy lifting program. It is a circuit training program. As different as apples and oranges. Heavy lifting programs by definition have you working based on linear progression with the weight you use being based on a percentage of your 1RM, doing moves based on powerlifting exercises. ChaLEAN Extreme is circuit training. Just because the weight feels heavy to you doesn't make it a heavy lifting program. There are girls who struggle with the 2-3 lb weights in 30DS. Does that make it a heavy lifting program? No.
