Help with sodium intake reduction for Meniere's disease

Hi, I'm new here and just found out today my chronic vertigo is most likely caused by Meniere's Disease which involves fluid buildup in the ear canal. I've been advised to reduce my sodium intake to prevent fluid retention. I'm here to find daily support in reducing my sodium intake.

I like the site, especially the customizable diary where I manually set my sodium intake to 2000 mg per day. Looking forward to the android app, the blogs, and the forums.

It's going to be challenging because I love salty foods... Hope to find healthy cooking tips, recipes, and ideas about what foods to avoid when eating out... (besides the obvious french fries!)

So hello and hope to get know more members here. ~~ Margaret

My mother also has Menieres. She found success with reducing premade foods and processed foods. I wish you the best of luck!
