Hello there... I'm Jen. I'm 26 years old, 5'11" and I'm down 21 lbs since January 2010. One of my best friends told me about this site last night and I decided why not give it whirl! lol! We've both been losing a lot of weight and we share our successes with one another and it's helped keep my motivated to keep going.
I'm about 14 lbs from my dream weight so I know it's gonna get harder now rather than easier. But I'm super stoked when I look in the mirror every morning and I am SEEING my hard work pay off. And I am FEELING healthier and my clothes are fitting better! I just want to be able to throw on my bikini this summer and walk around without feeling uncomfortable or self conscious like I have in the past.
I was a tri-sport athlete in H.S. and was always in shape and competed at the collegiate level in vball for 3 years. I was a freaking machine and in the best shape of my life. I had to stop vball due to a back injury and all the beatings I put on my body over the years have slowed me down. Bad knees, bad back... but I don't wanna quit. And I wanna get back to a nice, lean, toned physique that makes me feel beautiful and sexy.
I'm always looking for new and fun activities to keep active and help burn the cals! Right now I hike, I am in a Cardio Strip Tease class once a week and participate in two coed softball leagues. But the more different types of activities the BETTER! So if you have any suggestions, feel free to share!
Wish me luck on the rest of this journey... cuz I'm definitely gonna need to be REALLY focused and disciplined.
