Which one should I focus on. If I'm eating 1700 calories
Total but exercising and netting 900... which one is really my daily intake?
And how much should I net
I feel if I netted 1200 my total daily calories consumed (2900)would be way to high
To lose weight
Any advice/ opinions on this?

You should net your calorie goal. If you are that active, then it could mean you could eat a lot and still lose. You are essentially eating 900 calories a day because of what you burn, which is not enough to sustain you (it will work for a while, but it may cause plateaus, you may gain the weight back easily, or you could even cause damage to your body if you do it for years and years). I'd suggest doing some calculations (there is also a spreadsheet for the road map that I used to cheat and not do the math).

You gotta experiment a little. See what works for you. I lost 84 pounds in the last 18 months on 1300 cals, I never eat back my excersize calories because for I gain. Some people do, some people don't. I was also only burning around 300-600 cals a day.0

Net calories is your actual daily intake. If your net is below about 1200 cal/day, you're harming yourself in the long run.0 -
You should be focusing on net cals. If 2900 seems like too much, then exercise less. Think of your body as a machine. Like any machine, it needs fuel/energy to perform. The more you ask it to do, the more energy it needs.0

Yes. Some days I'll be hungier than others.
