So many false starts!

Here I am. Again. False start. Frustration. What has become a drinking problem. Lose weight. Gain weight. Lose weight. Gain more weight than ever.

This can't be good for my body. Or my mind.

Looking for good people to get started and stay on the right path. Help!!

I have had years of false starts. I really feel different about this one though, I feel like this time the journey will have an ending destination that I can reach.

    Stay strong.
  • I am so glad that I saw your post!!! It is so true for me as well!! I start off dieting & exercising with SUCH good intentions and then SOMETHING ALWAYS happens!:explode:

I thought I had a great motivator/mentor in my brother-in-law but then he & my sister-in-law got a divorce and so now he is not really talking with anyone. My kids are REALLY supportive but they live in other states. Then my sister-in-law gave me the idea to try this sight. It had worked for her REALLY well so here goes nothing.

I also hired a trainer at the gym. If I am paying for it, I am going to get my backside there. It is a year commitment, but already I am feeling better about myself!! I think this time may be my time that it all sticks!
  • you need to identify those triggers that get you off the path. you need to be proactive in having a plan when you know you will get triggered. like a "panic button". if you feel triggered to drink, get out of there or throw it out. its hard and there is no other way to do it. i just had a standoff last night with a bag of chocolate, but i won in the end. don't let temporary wants throw you off your path to getting what you really want.

sacrifice: giving up something good, for something better

If you stop being a quitter then you won't have to keep starting over.
