My husband and I just started following a 1500 calorie diet last Wednesday. We weighed at the doctors office last Wednesday and again yesterday. I am down 7 pounds and my husband 4 1/2. This has been only through healthy eating and really watching our calories. We will be getting our elliptical next week and are both super excited about getting going on that. At this point we don't exercise at all.
I'm trying to find some links to some good recipes or some more weight loss tips. We are REALLY wanting to get healthy and get ourselves in the best shape we can be.

If you are looking for cookbooks I really enjoy the biggest looser cook books. The food is more normal just made lighter. Plus, the recipes give the nutrition facts.0

I found some great receipes on the cokinglight.com web site. Very simple to use and it even gives you all the calorie information you need when you print out the recipes. I suggest the cheesy potato soup. It is one of my favorites. My entire family loves that one.
