Hello, Just joined and determined to shift these extra lbs.

Hi everyone. My name's Charlie and I'm 28yrs old and mum to 4 lovely children. I'm always saying I'm going to lose weight but never actually get round to doing it.
BUT now I'm definatly going to shift the weight. I didn't realise how big I actually am untill a few days ago. I was out of breath when I got to the top of the stairs at college and I struggled to hold a conversation together with a friend, due to being so breathless. For the first time in years my period is late. I'm definatly not pregant as I was sterilized 3 and a half years ago after my 4th child (and I've done a test) and my hubby thinks it's because I've never been this heavy before (not even when I was pregnant) and to top it all off I weigh more than my husband does.
So thats me! I have two goals in mind; the first being my brother in laws wedding in May. I would like to lose a minimum of 2 stone for then. the second being my 30th in July 2014 where I am hoping to have lost 4st 8lb in total from now till then. In January I will be joining the Gym, but between now and then I'm not going to over eat (or eat out of boredom) and I'm going to walk alittle more rather than take the car.
If anyone wants to join me, help keep me motivated that would be great

Sounds like you and I have the same problem, we both weigh more than our husbands! And we weigh about the same, so if you need encouragement let me know.
Also sounds like you're from the UK. Can you explain to me what a 'stone' is? Ignorant American, over here.0 -

Feel free to add me if you would like. My husband and I were only 20 lbs apart.. I was getting real close to catching his weight and well, I just didn't want that. Now we are 55 lbs apart.. much better!
Took it off by running. Learned to like running.0
