Hello, Holiday wake-up call

Hi, there. My name's Marc, and I've been a member on MFP for 18 months and used the mobile version calorie counter to drop about 40 lbs. It's a great app, and it helped me keep the extra weight off for the last year.
Now I have a new job that's kind of stressing me out, and I sit behind a desk mostly, so I don't really burn up any calories outside of my workout, and the scale I abuse has told me that the numbers are adding up again.
I thought I'd try connecting with other members on the this site to build motivation and to stick to a plan through the holidays and into the new year. I'm setting a goal to get my weight down to 190lbs, about 30 lbs down for me by my birthday in April. Looking for good tips from you with similar goals... and New Year's resolution ideas are welcome.

    I sit behind a desk too....

    My goal is to hopefully lose 40-50 pounds by my birthday in September :)
