Is this normal?

I started MFP (again) about 20 days ago. I put the weight I was at what I weighed at the drs which was more than what I had originally put. Anyways, my scales shows I'm losing about a lb a day. Is that all water weight? Is this normal? I know being very over-weight makes the weight come off faster in the beginning. Any tips or ideas?
Thanks,
Amanda
p.s. I have not taken my measurements.

Well a pound a day was not normal for me! I only measure/weigh once a week and find my weight is far more fluctuating than my measurements. Because of this I find my measurements are a far more reliable way to track my progress. In particular my thigh and bicep measurement because lets fac it I can't suck it in!
Good luck and keep it up!0 -
When I first started losing I lost 8lbs my first week and 5 the second. It is water weight at first and then the loss slows. You should take measurements since you are re-starting.0

Based on how much you have to go, yea it's normal. In a week or two, it will normalize.0
