Okay June is here. Hope you all are doing fantastic. Swimsuits, BBQ's, beaches, and all those fun summer activities are upon us now. We can fight through this! I guess there are no excuses now that nicer weather has decended on us.
Good luck to everyone...... 100 lbs is a big challenge and we hope to see you through to your final goal. I know I will be here for a while

And once again, this challenge is open to everyone who needs to lose a substantial amount of weight and any motivation/advice is welcome. You can post whenever you want to. New threads are started each month, I personally post the thread then follow up with my weigh in's on the 1st and 15th of every month. I will be doing this challenge at least until I hit my final goal, which may be forever (lol). Once again good luck!

    Now for my dreaded weigh-in. This past month has been a joy-kill for me as my weight is now up 1lb since my last weigh in. I have been trying to watch my food intake and have upped my daily activities
    Now I know what is putting me in this rut. I haven't been logging my food as religously as when I first started. I also think that I am giving myself too much credit for my outdoor activities and over indulging too many times a week.

    So here is a new month in front of me. I am optimistic that I can do this and will do this. My plan for my final goal is still june 26th 2009 so if I want that day to happen I need to put everything in check now.

  • started mfp at 310, last weight in was 296 I am not weighing today lol. Son's bday party was yesterday and well, I had no self control , damn macaroni salad! Here's hoping for a wonderful June!

    I am so in this month, last month was crap, foot problems and excuses! Neither one helped me get any closer to my goals so its time I got busy and kick my own butt!

    Weight today: an awful 222.2

    I like to set goals, so this month my end weight goal is 215. I guess I better get Moving! :tongue:

    ok my goal for this month
    my brothers birthday is on the 27th this month
    so my current weight is 231lbs
    i want to be about 220-210lbs

    so yes, up two pounds, but i have been living off of pudding and ice cream, so i am not suprised. well next week will be a big one for me as i am starting weightwatcher's core plan, so we'll see how that goes. i'm also going into self -rehab, so i'm really excited about the positive changes coming up.

    Woo Hoo!!!! I've been doing the Couch to 5K running program and have dropped 5 pounds in 2 weeks! Finally! I thought I was going to be stuck in the 220's forever! I'll let you know on Monday if I was able to keep it off! Good luck everyone and keep up all the fantastic work!

    Monday June 2. Scale reading this morning..... 215.0 Even after 2 graduation open houses yesterday! Yay! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
    My cousin is getting married this weekend and I need to go buy a new outfit, 'cause I know none of my appropriate attire is going to fit!

    my goal for end of June is to be 207 or less. I missed my May goal by 1 pound, but it's not as bad as it could've been. Happy Monday everyone! - Margie

    Way to go Liana25 You should update you stats to show the 66 lbs lost before you joined. It is all a part of your successful journey!! You have lost 86 lbs Yeah you!!!

    I'm not sure why I keep gaining and loosing the same 2 pounds over and over but I'm hoping that I'll get back to loosing soon.:grumble: I can feel differences in my body, I think there is a waistline comming soon but for the scales they are just not doing what I want them too:angry: . But I will not quit, I have to keep on going.... ( maybe I should throw the scales into the blackberry bushes :laugh: )

    I am so glad to be in this too!
    My starting weight 2 weeks ago was 239. Today after 2 weeks it is 231!
    My plan is to drink 8 cups of water, walk 6 days a week, do some easy pilates at least 5 times weekly, and watch my diet.
    The first day I could only do 1 mile with Walk away the Pounds and 1 mile outside that evening. Today I'm walking 2 miles in the am and 3 in the pm! I can't believe how fast my 48 year old body is responding to exercise.
    My greatest thrill is that I've lost an inch off my waist - in 2 weeks!!

    Hey I am just trying to bump this thread so it is the first one that is seen instead of being after the other ones. Everyone is doing awesome:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

    I can feel my weight is coming down a bit and I am now hoping my next weigh on the 15th I will do great! My only obstacle may be my sisters wedding coming up this Saturday, with lots of food and drink, but I plan on not over-indulging on the food, and I definitely don't want to be a sloppy drunk:drinker: and plan on dancing to work off some of this food. Good Luck all

    Start weight 290 lbs in January!!! Lost 80 lbs so far!!!!

    Two weeks ago 213lbs
    Last week 207 lbs
    This week 210 lbs

    So down a lot two weeks ago because of an exam that I had to starve myself for...:grumble: ...but only back up 3 lbs...so I still averaged 1.5 lb loss/week over the past two, so I'm not too bummed! On the happy note, I lost 5" off my body this past month and I'm in a size 14....haven't been there in almost 5 years!!!!!!!!!!

    I've noticed we've lost a few of our posters....come on gals and guys, you can do it!!!

    I started this journey in January at 290 lbs, squeezing into a size 20
    Last week I weighed in at 210 lbs....I worked my butt off this week and ate super well...
    This morning I weighed in at 206 lbs!!!!!!! I am now wearing a size 14 and it's not tight!!!!!!

    I'm tall and carry weight disgustingly well, but I am starting to feel very fit and clothes are fitting so much nicer! Eating well and exercise is the key to success!!!!! For me anyway!!!

    Maybe we should do like other threads and make a new daily or weekly post and date it so people will know it's check in time or something. I'd be willing to get that going, otherwise you end up with a lot of messages in one post.

    I am getting very aggravated and my motivation/willpower is starting to slip. I think I may start a diary similar to yours ellelit. I don't really hold myself accountable enough when I finish off my daughters' snacks and the last parts of their meals,
    I have stopped measuring and keeping accurate food logs because of all of the extra bites here and there. I do know that as long as I post everything I eat and that list put in front of me and everyone else to see, it becomes a reality on what I am doing and why my weight loss has stalled.

    Also on the same note I love being outside with my kids seeing them play. (Most of the time I am running after the little one and trying to keep her near us and away from all the dangers the outside brings) so I am also going to try and log some sort of activity each day. Thinking about taking the girls for a walk each and every day just to get in a habit of doing some kind of exercise daily.

    Through all of this I do see many good habits that I have developed. I eat a lot more whole grains, white meat and veggies. If there is a stop at a fast food place is is 95% of the time done in a healthy manner.

    June 18 - I'm posting a few days late, but here goes.....

    213.4 almost 2 more pounds gone! I don't know if I'll get below 207 by the end of June like I want, but I'm still going in the right direction. I bought size 18 shorts last night.... I haven't been out of the 20's in years...
    I haven't been logging my food like I should either. I need to start again, but I'm so crazy busy that I hardly have time to eat, let alone log. I will be more disciplined when I get back from vacation.
