I am formulating my resume' for the first time in a long while. Any general advice on best and worst things to include would be appreciated. Do you believe in the one pager, or should it be more comprehensive regardless of career?

It depends on the position you are applying for. But, in general one pagers are recommended.

Thanks, Dawn. Given that I've completely changed directions in the last several year most of my "old" experience is moot. Any more than one page and i'm rambling!

Old experience is never "Moot" but keep it to one page. I would make sure to list extensively your last 2-3 positions, or the last 2-3 relevant positions, and the have a line or two for "other positions held" which you will give a quick company name positions and years held. That way you can go into how those positions could help you with what you are applying for. It also shows your years in the work force. the more well rounded you appear to an employer the more likely they are to hire you. If you have gaps in your employment the less likely.
