Will it mess up the scale to store it on its side?

So my scale recently had quite the hiccup, and I'm not sure if it was because the battery needed to be changed (which it did) or in part because we store the scale on its side... Anyone else experiencing this or know the answer? Thanks!

The more you move a scale the less accurate it will be. Leave it in one spot all the time.
  • I have to store mine on it's side..no place else to put it that it isn't in the way. I do reset it every time I use it though so I am sure it's accurate.

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure how to reset it short of taking out the battery (the instructions are hiding), but this really helps! I'm relocating it to a place where it can stay in place. :)

I'm not sure this relates, but my Wii just told me "I hope you're not storing me on my side because that's bad for my circuitry."

That makes me wonder if storing the digital scale on its side is bad for its circuitry.
