Is there anyone that has PCOS and is having trouble losing weight? I have lost a total of 20 lbs since I had my son 7 months and still have 35 pounds to go to be where I want to be, but I am having a real hard time losing any more weight. I have been eating under my recommended amount which is about 1500 calories and I exercise. I don't log in everyday and put in what I eat but I still keep up with that. I can't go to the gym and with snow outside I will not go out there and walk unless its warmer. I have been doing 10 minute trainer videos and when I do them I do more than one, plus I clean the house everyday. I was just wondering if there was anyone with PCOS that is having trouble? I am out of metformin and have to go back to the doctor jan 4 to get my prescription.

I have it and I find that I have a real issue with sugar. I try really hard not to eat any refined sugar and limit white flour, white rice, etc. that is the only way I seem to be able to lose weight.0

Yes I have PCOS but no issues with losing weight when I'm consistent.
From your post you're not logging every day. Focus on logging everything and then go from there. You might think you're eating the right calories but its so easy not to.
I only stop losing weight when I'm not consistent.0 -
I have PCOS. I've lost 54 pounds since having my son 9 months ago. I eat clean, but I also watch carbs. No white flours, and very limited white sugar. I know a calorie is a calorie, but when I get most of my calories from protein, good fats (coconut oil, clean meat, organic dairy), and veggies, my weight loss is super fast. When I'm not as diligent about the sugar/carbs but am still staying under my calories, I still lose, but it really slows down. Watch your carbs.0

I have PCOS and completely recommend watching your sugar. I eat clean (mostly unprocessed foods), cut my sugar to about 7 grams per meal/snack (I shoot for no more than 35-40 grams a day total), eat foods that are high in protein and high in fiber. I try to avoid white flour, regular potatoes and anything high in sugar. I normally eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day, I keep my meals to around 40 carbs and my snacks to 20 carbs. I also have completely cut out soy and dairy because of the hormones in these things not being great for people with PCOS. Check out pcosdiva.com for some awesome advice! Good luck and feel free to add me!0
