How long before I see results?

Hello,
So I want to start taking calorie counting seriously, and I wanted to get an idea of about when I would be able to weight myself and see results. I obviously don't expect anything drastic, but I was wondering when I'd be able to see numbers decline after sticking to my calorie plan. And I know results vary, but on average? Can you tell me from your knowledge or experience? Thank you so much guys!

after a week or so i saw the scale go down. After taking a picture of myself tonight, i see slight improvement in my face as far as weight loss (that 4.1wks after starting).0

I saw results the first week. I have lost every week since joining in early August! 41 pounds gone now. Good luck to you! You can do it!0

You may see the scale numbers decrease very soon, but patience is the key. Fat loss and retaining lean muscle is what's important, a scale won't nessecessarily show this. Take pictures once a month, measure yourself and don't chain yourself to the scales. Good luck x0

Because weight naturally fluctuates, it can take a little more time for some people to see it. This is especially true if you start a good exercise program because your muscles will retain water for a bit. If you are losing 1lb a week and your body is swinging 2-5lbs in water weight, it can hide your loss. Once you lose a few more pounds, it becomes easier to see that it did indeed go downward. On the other hand, other people can see it right away because they shed that water weight at first. It depends. Be patient and consistent and you will see it.
I also encourage you to measure yourself and take progress pictures. The scale is only one measuring tool and sometimes it isn't even a very reliable one. It's more of a trend tool than an absolute.0
