They all make perfect sense to me.
"the skinny rules" are actually the background on my laptop right now. I found it about a week ago. I love them, and don't think any of them are unreasonable, because I KNOW that they work. Those are basically the rules I try to follow on a normal basis anyway, especially considering all the nutritionists I've had, books I've read, and research I've done. None of them were big news to me.

Rule 1: Drink a large glass of water before each meal - NO excuses

I do this. I drink a lot of water.
Rule 2: Don't drink your calories.

Black coffee, unsweetened ice tea, and water are my drinks of choice
Rule 3: Eat protein at every meal - or stay hungry and grouchy

Yep, I love me some protein.
Rule 4: Slash your intake of flour and grains

Rule 5: Eat 30 to 50 grams of fiber a day

Rule 6: Eat apples and berries every single day

Rule 7: No carbs after lunch

Those 4 rules all contradict each other.

Rule 8: Learn to read food labels so you know what you are eating

Rule 9: Stop guessing about portion size and get it right - for good

Rule 10: No more added sweeteners, including artificial ones

    Common sense here

Rule 11: Get rid of those white potatoes

Rule 12: Make one day a week meatless

Rule 13: Get rid of fast food and fried foods.

Everything in moderation, including white potatoes, fast food, and fried foods.

Rule 14: Eat a real breakfast

Rule 15: Make your own food and eat at least 10 meals at home/week

Rule 16: Banish high salt foods

Rule 17: Eat your veggies - just do it!

    Duh.
Rule 18: Go to bed hungry

    Rule 19: Sleep right

I go to bed satisfied. Not full, but satisfied so I can sleep well.

Rule 20: Plan one splurge meal a week.

If you feel like you must "splurge" once a week, you're being way too restrictive.

going to bed satisfied is very very important...*evil grin*

The OP clearly stated she found this, and wanted opinions. I am not sure why some seem to be mocking her. You either agree or not. But don't attack.

I'm the tamest one but my friends lost is getting smaller...

I'm reading the book now and the explanations make sense. And people have obviously gotten great results following his advice. Half the book is weekly menus and recipes for those that don't know how they'd follow it. I really like the clean and simple way it approaches food and meal prep would be a breeze.
