A quality multi (if it is a one a day pill, it is not quality). B-complex (preferably with fat intake, as some of them B's are fat soluble) creatine, and whey. Other foods that I use that some may consider suplements (but I do not) are raw bee pollen granules (used to buy from local bee keepers, but moved so Iget organic stuff from GNC) and probiotics through cultured food such as kefir (a fermented milk) and Greek yogurt. I am gonna try at kombucha again, my last attempt was a failure. But everything after the whey I just consider healthy food.

Oh, and a ton of vitamin C. I keep my food log open and list everything (well, some of the stuff is in my recipes).

If i talk about vitamins that fruits are best source of vitamins so i like to eat fruits daily. I get lot of vitamins from fruits so there is no need to use any supplement. Fruits are best nutrition food that contain vitamins and minerals.

Vitamin D. I didn't need any others after my doc ran some test. I would suggest a visit to your doc.

It may be because it has iron in it. Check.

    Multi-vitamin
    Omega 3-6-9 oil supplement
    Whey protein
    BCAA's
    Creatine on heavy lift days
Extra vitamin C's this time of year!

Some multivitamins cause stomach upset if you take them on an empty stomach. I've heard it has to do with the Iron absorption...but I don't know. There are a few brands that make me incredibly sick to my stomach - GNC Daily doesn't so I take that.

Daily multi, omega 3's, calcium, C, D . . .lots of other vitamins. I get my blood work done every year and adjust accordingly. While you can eat foods to get your nutrients you would have to eat an awful lot of certain foods to get your RDA.

ETA: I have been taking supplements for years and I have found that I don't get as many colds -- even when I worked for a company and everyone was coughing and hacking around me I rarely got sick -- and if I do get sick I kick it pretty quick.

Zinc on an empty tum will make you sick. I take whatever I'm taking that day right after I've eaten something...

I've had all my tests done. I need to take Silica, Chromium, Vitamin D, trace elements and Iron+C. Make sure if you take Iron to take it separately from other minerals particularly Calcium and Magnesium as they will not be absorbed properly if taken together. I also take fish oils and probiotics with prebiotics. I also am currently taking iodine for thyroid issues. I use whey as a pre-workout supp.
