Try every fruit/veggie separately to see if you like it, not everything tastes the same juiced (like yellow squash, I love it cooked, but juiced it was really horrible!)

    My favorite is this:
3-4 carrots (enough to make about 8 oz)
    1 leaf of kale
    1/2 a large cucumber (peeled/end chopped off)
1 whole zucchini (peeled, ends chopped off)
    1 medium apple

This makes about 24 oz of juice. If it's too bitter you can add more apples or pears (or other sweet fruits) to get it how you like it. Your tastes can develop. A few weeks ago I started juicing, and needed about 4 apples to be able to drink it but I now only need one apple.

  • I'm assuming the recipes that were included with the juicer weren't to your liking?
  • AHHHHHHHHHHH That makes me so happy! I have the same juicer. It really depends how complicated you want to get, but I have made up like 30 recipes, some good, some not so good. My favorite for really easy and delicious filling juice is:
2 Granny Smiths (if you want sour)
    OR
2 Red Apples (for sweeter taste)

    and then
    4 carrots
1/4 of a bundle of kale.

    It's simple but really good.
A more complicated one I made yesterday that was really good was
    2 ribs celery
2 bell peppers (I used one red and one yellow)
    2 Carrotts
    2 Green apples
    3 big leaves of kale
    A huge handful of spinach

My go to juice is kale, spinach, carrot, and 1 granny smith apple.
Don't forget to make sure you are getting enough of you daily fiber since juicing takes out fiber:) Enjoy!

Reboot does have great recipes. My favorites are (not necessarily from the website):

    Morning juice:
    2 Stalks Celery
    2 Carrots
    1/2 Inch Ginger (peeled)
    1 Apple (cored)
    1/2 Lemon
    1/2 Cucumber

For an upset tummy I make:
    1/2 Inch Ginger
    4 Carrots
    1/2 Apple (cored)

The mean green (from reboot your life)
    6 Kale Leaves
    1 Cucumber
    4 Celery Stalks
    2 Green Apples (cored)
    1/2 Lemon
    1 piece of ginger

I made a really good fruit juice with pear, pinapple, apple, orange, lemon, ginger and then added sparkling water (or sparkling apple juice) and it really wakes you up in the morning. Be aware though, there is a lot of sugar in fruit juice.

I love juices that have more of an earthy taste.. here is my go to favorite:

    4 large Carrots
    2 med. stalks of celery
    1/2" fresh Ginger root (peeled)
1/2 of a Parship (also peeled)
    1 small beet

May I also suggest if you are new to juicing to take one day and do your prep work so that in the am.. you can be creative with different veggies/fruits relatively quickly :)

I worked at the Juice Bar in a Whole Foods for a while, and here are some of the recipes from there, most are proportional because we made them in huge batches:

    Green lemonade

    1/2 parts Apple
    1/4 parts celery
1/4 parts kale, spinach and lemon

    ABC Juice

    3/4s Parts Apple
    1/4 parts beet and cucumber

My favorite was apple cucumber kale lemon and ginger. At home I've really grown to love grapefruit, carrot, and ginger.
  • I do the same recipe every morning, more or less. I make one batch that makes a HUGE glass for my husband and a smaller glass for me:

    1 large apple
    half a lemon with peel
    3 carrots
    half a beet including leaves
    big handful of spinach
    big handful of lettuce
    handful of kale
    1/2 cucumber
    tiny bit of peeled ginger
    2 celery stalks
    half a red bellpepper
    small handful of cilantro

I juice that, then I blend it over ice with some protein powder, some flax seed oil, some spirulina. Sometimes I'll throw half a banana or half an avocado in there for consistency.

Fills us up for half the day and gives us a nice amount of energy.

  • i juice like twice a week and my favorite thing to put in is carrots and apples. apples gives it a certain texture though so if you wouldn't like that.. no. but sweet fruits plus boring veggies so apples+kale etc, really just put a ton of stuff together and you can kind of taste it all.. in one sip
