Prisoner Set Free!

It is so easy to fall "captive" of the worldly things around us. Some can get caught up in work, relationships, drink, drugs, porn, etc. There are so many things in this world that can trap us, and steal from us something very special... who we truly are. So many people right now are captives of their weight issues. But you don't have to be. Your a beautiful and amazing person. It's up to you to decide if your going to be defeated. God certainly didn't plan on you being held down. God has created only good pathways for you, victory for you. But God moves when we move. It's up to you to decide if you want to be to be free. And by free I am not talking about losing 1 pound, 25 or even 100. I am taking about the freedom that comes in putting your faith in God and knowing He has made you to be His perfect child. Does that mean you can't be healthier.. NO! Like i said, God moves when we move and God wants us to have healthy bodies. But it does mean that you can look in that mirror and see how beautiful you are, how wonderfully you are created. I can type a million post telling you I think your gorgeous, sexy, funny, smart, sweet, a real hottie (and trust me I think you are!)... But you have to be able to look at your self and see how hard God has worked to make the wonderful person you are. I love you so much my darling friend, but I will never be able to convince you of anything, you have to trust that God has done these things. Hold you head high. Walk free. Walk proud. Be a prisoner no more. Be a Prisoner set free. God's beckoning. Cast the lies of the world aside, trust Him and see yourself as God has meant you to always be.... This is very nice and very true. The world will just leave you empty and a lot of people even if they lost all the weight they want to, they'd still be empty because they're missing the One they were made for. Very good post0

This is a beautiful post! You are very right in stating that we often forget in our busy lives that we were made in His image. We are wonderful and special in every way. We just need to slow down our lives and look into ourselves and see that special, unique, and loving person that we really are. Thanks for the post!0

Amen, KnightofGod!
I know for me I have been convicted for not taking care of this body God gave me. I want to be a good steward of what has been entrusted to me and use it for His glory. The Lord blesses me to also bless others. An apple tree does not produce apples and keeps for itself...the apple tree grows apples for the benefit of others.0 -

I completely agree! It's been a little over a year that I lost tons of weight. I was down to about 125 but I was so empty. I thought I had to go to the bar to have a good time and usually would skip dinner and just go to happy hour after work. God had so much more in store for me. I realized that the devil had stolen my joy and the only way I could be "happy" is to alter my reality with alcohol. When I really gave it all to God he restored my joy I haven't had a drink or smoked since June of last year. Now I am happily married to a Pastor and we are trying for our first baby. I am eating right, taking vitamins but most importantly going to be in the Lord's presence as much as possible! It's amazing what God will do for you if you just let him!0
