Looking for Beer Brewers & Drinkers

I've been on MFP a while now and have seen a few posts and made a few friends with those who still enjoy a good pint while still trying to lose weight, gain muscle or maintain their current level of fitness and health.
So thought I'd raise another glass and see who is with me. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a beer snob as I enjoy homebrews (mine & others) and craft beers. I'm not much of a fan of the Buds, Coors, etc of the world. And even though I live in the Boston MA area, I'm not a huge fan of Sam Adams. They have a few good brews but there are others I'd choose.
Anyway (sorry for rambling). If you are interested and would like to discuss beer and/or brewing and how you are fitting it into your new lifestyle please send me a friend request.
Also, there's a Real Ale group that's getting started her on MFP. Hop on over and join us in our discussions.

Count me in and friend me. I am not a home brewer but I am a beer snob. I have to admit that I like Miller Lite as well - one of my drinking buddies said that is referred to as "Session" beer. I have always counted it as "Quantity" beer. Anyway, I'm interested in how you incorporate this into your weight loss.
I had lost over 60 pounds as of June 2012 but now I've leveled off and probably added 10-15 since that time. I've not stopped working out at all except for the 1 1/2 weeks recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery in October. In fact, I've increased my daily / weekly exercise totals since I've started back, but I've also increased my calorie intake and I've been drinking more beer over the holidays than I had previously.. Therefore, I've maintained for the past 2 months. I'm ready to hit 2013 running again. Talk to you soon!!!0 -
I would not count me as a beer snob, but maybe others would.
I avoid lagers and keg beers where possible, I used to brew my own years ago, but have long since stopped that, too easy to just have a pint in passing, hic :drinker:
I am in UK, so luckily Bud, Millers etc are no where to be seen, however the continental mega brewers, such as Heineken, are around
My local pub is part of the Fuller's chain, but does have real ale. & not far away is a free house with very local real ales on, so local one is brewed only a few few roads away from me http://www.thehavantbrewery.co.uk/ my favourite being the Havant Finished, but he does play on the names, linked to Havant pre fix0 -
I love beer. My bf works for a local brewery so I have become a beer snob. I'm over in Northwestern US, and am blessed with some fantastic breweries near by.0

My boyfriend is an amazing home brewer. I can't even drink the expensive beers any more because they all taste like swill. Count me in!0

Definitely a beer snob and have begun to dabble in brewing. I do find myself drinking Miller, Bud, etc if that's the only thing available though. Nothing like a good quality brew!0

Mmmmm...beer...beer is good...my favorite is pumpkin ale, so this is the BEST time of year for drinking as far as I'm concerned...0

Loooove me some beer. I have one almost every day. Not ashamed to admit my affinity for a can of Bud, but definetley prefer the more complex stuff.0

I'm a beer snob that had to go gluten-free. I'll live vicariously through all of you (sobs and heads over to the wine group)...0

Something I never thought would happen, tipped a beer down the sink, it was gross
I had bottle of "Bah Humbug" 500 ml, 5% ABV from Wychwood Brewery. It was foul, "lightly spiced with cinnamon" Yuk, hated it. Obviously a seasonal choice, but not for me
any one else found a stinker?0
