Running/jogging for beginners

Now that I have a comfortable workout outfit, in the upcoming spring, summer or any day that's nice out. I never went running outside before besides for gym class a few years ago in High school.

I would recommend following the Maffetone 180 formula. Google it.
You would need a HR monitor for that. I think it is a great way to start running rather than going Gung Ho. You've got a whole life of fitness ahead of you and running injuries can happen fast, so take it slow.0 -
I would go with couch 2 5k. it worked or me.0

c25k... and take it slow. If you feel any sort of pain, slow down. And don't forget to stretch before and after workouts!0

C 2 5 K is a great way to start, i joined a running club and the coaches there also recommend using this type of training to start off. You'll be addicted to running in no time x0
