Bell Peppers and Raw Onions. I really thought I was allergic to bell peppers, but now I like them in a lot of things.
I love all peppers raw, but green peppers cooked still don't jive with my tastebuds…. go figure0 -
... grapefruit. I can't get it out of my head that grapefruit tastes like bile.
Haha! I'm eating it right now and I completely get where you're coming from. The bitterness on the back of my tongue reasonates with your assessment...0 -
spinach!0

Mushrooms, eggplant, cabbage, squash, zucchini, spinach, chocolate (yes, I started liking chocolate during my weightloss journey!)

Peanut butter and sweet potatoes.0

All types of yogurt. I crave it in the mornings now. So weird!0
-
Brussels Sprouts!!
I steamed them first for about 10 mins, then pan sauteed them with a little olive oil and garlic, and sprinkled some Italian herbs on... still no bueno.
Any ideas? Or is it just one of those things I wont ever like?0 -
Cottage cheese used to absolutely gross me out to no end...I can't get enough of it now!! The fat free tastes like garbadge but the low fat is so good.0

olives. I used to hate them and then a friend took me to a restaurant where they serve them deep fried. Soooo delicious! and now I eat them raw all the time, especially kalamata.0

Sweet potatoes, onion, peppers, spicy food.. oh and SUSHI. i never had a chance to try sushi when i was younger, but i grew up on a farm and it was a total meat and potatoes or a hotdish household. my horizons have expanded and i'm loving it!0

I used to HATE broccoli and cauliflower but now I love them. I don't like my broccoli raw though. I've always loved artichokes even though I was a picky kid. But I just can't make myself like Brussels sprouts or asparagus. I be tried but it ain't happening. Never liked most condiments either...mustard, mayo, ketchup, dressing. I eat my salad dry or with sour cream and hidden valley ranch dip mix. And I know that I will NEVER like raw onions! I only like my spinach raw.0

For me it's definitely green peppers!0

I used to be ambivalent about brussel sprouts, but I've come to love them as well. I usually prepare mine by trimming off the ends and cutting them in half. I toss them (and the leaves that have fallen off in the cutting, as long as they're fresh) in olive oil with fresh garlic, salt, pepper and onion powder and saute until they're tender. Sometimes I add a small amount of bacon drippings for flavor. My mother-in-law makes hers by baking them with maple syrup and walnuts.0 -

I do most of this; trim ends, cut in half, toss with EVOO, garlic, onion powder and parsley and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes (added some rough chopped pecans for Christmas dinner). I'll also saute some fresh garlic and onion and throw the sprouts in the mix, put the lid on, let them brown a little bit, squeeze some lemon juice and let them steam for about 10-15 minutes.
I've heard though that our taste buds are predisposed to either love or hate Brussels Sprouts. There's something about the acidity in them.0 -
I'm not a picky eater, I've always eaten just about anything and I love all vegetables...except asparagus. I've hated it since childhood. Then I tried it recently at an upscale steakhouse. It was seasoned really well and grilled to a nice crispy texture. It was delicious. So now I like asparagus. The End. :drinker:0

Avocados! I would only eat them in guacamole but now will eat them just sliced into a salad. My mom would be so happy!0

Brown Rice, actually.
When I first tried it I was like "JESUS I'M CONSUMING DIRT" but now it tastes like nice dirt0 -
Fenugreek leaf, its called Methi where I come from.
Also, Mushrooms, I hated it. I had it once in a Spanish Tapas with Olive oil and garlic with light sprinkling of herbs and ever since I totally love it.0 -
I used to hate carrots but I now can't get enough. If I had, in front of me, a plate of steamed carrots and 3 chocolate bars, I would discard the chocolate.0
